Weeping Woman

Went to the VMFA to see the Picasso exhibit. I'm not too sure if I'm a fan.. in it's entirety, it evoked a strong sense of sadness in me. With revisions of the same technique in a given period, it was like he was trying to understand something about the human character, but couldn't quite grasp it. A pretty lonely thought. Not to mention pieces like Guernica. I guess my emotion is a testament to the power of art, and maybe I can appreciate it later. But right now, sad and depressing is not what I need.
